Cleaning & Maintenance
Our products are made to last for decades with the right care. This guide explains how to clean and maintain your ceramic sanitaryware and mineralicast bathtub to keep them looking their best — and to keep your warranty valid, since damage caused by incorrect cleaning is not covered under warranty.
General Principles
Use a soft cloth, sponge or soft-bristled brush with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner for everyday cleaning. Rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and limescale buildup.
Always test a new cleaning product on a small, inconspicuous area first if you are unsure of its suitability.
What to Avoid
The following can damage the glaze, dull the finish or cause permanent marking over time — this applies to all our colours, and is especially important on Espresso, Creme and Burgundy finishes:
- Abrasive sponges and scouring pads — these can scratch the glaze and cause permanent damage
- Bleach and chlorine-based cleaners — these can discolour the glaze and cause permanent marking
- Acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon juice, etc.) — these can etch the glaze and dull the finish
- Harsh chemicals (drain cleaners, oven cleaners, etc.) — these can damage the glaze and cause discolouration
- Abrasive powders — these can scratch the glaze
- Wax or silicone-based products — these can leave a slippery residue
Ceramic Sanitaryware (Basins, Toilets, Bidets)
For everyday cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
For stubborn stains or limescale, use a non-abrasive limescale remover. Always test on a small area first.
For discolouration caused by hard water or rust stains, use a specialist ceramic cleaner designed for sanitaryware.
Mineralicast Bathtubs
Mineralicast is a composite material made from natural minerals and resin. It is durable and easy to clean, but requires some care to maintain its appearance.
For everyday cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or a soft-bristled brush. Do not use abrasive sponges or scouring pads.
To maintain the finish, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as this can cause fading over time.
